I heard some says that forum founder can make a lot of money from their forum and I'm wondering how is this possible. I see that there is not much ads in the forum but people claiming the founder made up a lot of money from the forum.

What are you talking about? Which forum? Revenue is earned mainly through ad's like Google Adsense. You dont have to have your page stuffed with ads to make money.

Generally, forums are not good money earners for PPC simply because the business of creating a busy forum does not lend itself well to the PPC ad concept. Think about it. You work towards getting people to return to your forum. However, return visitors are more likely to develop ad blindness and less likely to click on your ads even if they do notice them from time to time (having built up a good idea of what cycles through your ad spaces by repeated visits). You have to have an extremely busy forum with creative ad placement to make them pay well :s

I have a brand new forum I made a few days ago and I'm looking for a co-administrator.

If you (or anybody else) is interested, feel free to send me a PM. It's a forum based on a PC game.

That barely pays the bills for my forum... but the more it grows the closer it becomes a reality!

DP makes a freaking mint though...

Create a friendly and sincere community. Don't make it about the money.

Eventually you can implement sources of income such as advertisements. But if you really have a strong community-aspect, donations are often sent in by the members. The vast majority of my site's income is through donations because my members claim to love the site and the friendly members it consists of.

The owner of this forum? Ya, he made millions and still is.

But if you're talking about being a forum owner - then first off all, you need to create a forum, build the content, and advertise it, and get the word out. That way one day you'll start making money.

Forum owners make money via ad revenue and paid subscriptions. Those are the normal revenue streams for a forum. Most forums don't make any real money but the ones that are run well with knowledgable admins do. You must have traffic and active members though.
