Is it simply x 10 + 1 ? So when a forum says there's 121 people viewing it there's really 12? I really can't believe there's 2,001 people on the whole board right now with 715 members, and 169 people viewing this forum alone? I've been a member of many message boards with 1% of this many people viewing and there are waaaay more new threads and new posts.
Maybe people just don't find the topic interesting My real thought on why this thread has had no views is the fact that pretty much every person online spends most of their time in the BST forum.
Althought, theoretically it wouldn't be hard to do with vbulletin. You just need a query that does something like this: "select username from users order by users limit rand(round(count(users)*0.05))" Something like that would show a random select of 5% of all usernames everytime the board index is shown. So it's easy to do in vbulletin, but DP doesn't do it.
Digital Point is one of the biggest forums on the web, and is also used by people who are on the computer all the time. Those numbers make perfect sense.
