How does DP control click fraud?

DP shares Adsense revenue with certain members of the forum, but how do they stay within the TOS, and prevent people from clicking on ads? After all, that's what they are there for - to be clicked by DP members, right? SO how do you prevent a user that is involved in the revenue share from clicking the ads?

Revenue sharing members are never displayed their own ads, so can't click on them. No user knows (for definite) which other user's ads are being displayed. That's it.

Also: people don't click on those ads anyways (members) atleast that's what I'm assuming.

Alright this is still bothering me. Does Digital Point share all revenue from all clicks with any participating members? If so, isn't that against Google TOS? What prevents a participating member from clicking on ads for their own profit?

    8everything said:
Why would you assume that? If a member stands to profit form it, why wouldn't they? People do it all the time and Google spends a lot of time and money trying to prevent it, so it definitely happens. Why not on Digital Point?

This isn't possible. What if a person isn't logged in? What if they are on a different computer? How does Digital Point prevent click fraud?

I'm assuming that people are logged in of course. Here's a foolproof way of preventing click fraud if you're worried - DON'T PARTICIPATE!

Its pretty easy. The person clicking will not have hi/her publisher code showing.

How would DP control that if you aren't logged in? They can't. The fact of the matter is, nothing prevents a revenue sharing DP member form click click clicking the ads all day long. In fact, if you read the initial 3 year old thread on it, it describes how on a thread you start, you have a 50% chance of getting credit for any ads that get clicked on. So, what prevents somebody from starting several threads (or a hundred for that matter) and then clicking on the ads all day long (or writing a script to do it ;)) and getting 50% of all revenue generated. If they aren't logged in, Digital Point can't tell they are clicking on it, but the program is designed to serve the person who started the threads adsense code 50% of the time. Even Shawn acknowledged that in the thread where he announced the program. I can't be the only person that has noticed this.

another thing which i noticed was that by viewing the source of the site a lot of times, i have come to know of shawn pub id..its too simple...even though its a revenue sharing site most of the times shawns google ads are shown..its fair enough tho the rest of the times our ads are shown..

but today i noticed(morning) shawns google account was disabled as always it was showing cannot find page...and now in the night its fixed..other DP'ers must also have noticed it..

just amazing ...how come he got it activated within a day..i guess he must be having a premium adsense account...

I'll take the silence from Digital Point to mean that this is a problem.

So - who wants to be the first to write the script?
