how does dot.tk give free domains?

how does dot.tk give free domains?
giving a free subdomain like co.cc is no big deal.
but .tk is a domain,
they show ads on your site and do not give DNS Management,
but still it must cost them...

 

AFAIK dot.tk is just a redirection site.. not actually a domain extension or something
Like if you have a .blogger.com or .wordpress.com site you can redirect them to a shorter URL .tk

 

but u cant get a free .com domain for redirection
so how are they giving free .tk domains for redirection??

Is a small island, and they only get money by people that are buying domains without ads...
So they give free .tk's to get a 'more' extension (but it's unprofessional)
And they want to make money by people that are buying away the ads...

.tk couldn't make as much money if they wouldn't do it like that
There is a big difference like from Tuvalu (.tv) than .tk ..

.tk means just nothing, .tv (tuvalu is also something that almost nobody knows) is seen as a 'television' name

I have news for you .Tk will remove the adds from all domains pretty soon so then you have pretty much a full free domain just 2bad about the DNS. .Tk is some little island near new zealand and some registrar in Amsterdam is doing the whole domain thing for them and all profit goes to the island, they make enough of selling full/real domains so they stop with the adds which didn't got them much income anyway

 

Because .tk is free, it's pretty unprofessional to actually buy one. The only people who buy them [in my opinion] are organizations trying to secure their business name.

I had a domain joshandfriends.tk that went to my personal site when I first got into websites. There was actually some company named joshandfriends.com and they swooped in and bought the domain with no notice or anything. They didn't need it, they just wanted to preserve their business name.

Since [almost] every country gets its own tld, technically they can do whatever they want with it.

 

Totally true mate, but yeah probably there will be guys that register domains like pizza.tk (probably registered already) and than sell it

 

Dot.Tk, This is your way of having tons of Websites. Professional site don't mean .com, it just means u paid to have them made. dot.tk can be use with a sever that gives you free hosting like freewebs or if you already have your host server, Make your subdomains have a Cleaner name. you can make an unlimited amount of subdomains. and dot.tk give unlimited domains. Do the math, unlimited sites you can have. Don't bring dot.tk down, instead use it to your advantage!
