a big factor when it comes to the rating seems to be the Page Rank! so not sure if the rating is that great.
Aye Aye, wonder where you got BR from Jamie, I wouldn't single out any individual bidding directory as offering significant value, the market IMO is still too young and the niche is still evolving. However as a marketing tool they are just as effective as any general directory.
I can't agree with you on a bidding directory being anywhere near as effective as a normal directory. What I don't boast about is that the group of companies I work for has a pretty large seo firm in operation and we wouldn't touch a bidding directory under any circumstance. In their present model bidding directories are ridiculous, they are not of any value simply because they aren't organised and contain a pot pouri of results which half of our customers would not want to be associated with. There may be a viable model one day but there isn't just yet, but that's purely my opinion. There may be some that do fit the model I believe in but I've yet to see them.

Based on customer feedback Obelia. We asked our base of existing customers whether they thought there'd be any value in getting listed in this type of directory. Most 'Real' business won't touch this type of directory with a bargepole. Rather than give names of directories just do a google using bidding directories as keywords. You'll see what I mean.

Also take a look in yahoo! homepage (like most portals or digg style sites) u will see a mix of content and keyphrase and subjects that are not related SE are not humans so they are not thinking(in fact they cant think,they just crawl) like you do.
