I've never used Affiliate programs in my life and after I looked at different ones, I thought CJ would be a good program for a newbie like me. All I want to know how it works and how it could me with getting clients since I am a freelance web page designer/coder and if it will help at all? Thank you
Works like Clickbank etc... You simply send traffic to the advertisers site and if people buy or complete an action you get paid. Of course its easier said than done though...
I'm not sure how CJ will help you get clients directly. However If you clients are interested in creating websites that use affiliate programs to generate money then knowledge of CJ and other affiliate programs will be important Clickbank and CJ are good for beginners, but there are a lot others out there. Some very specialized. There really isnt one 'best fit' affiliate program, it depends on the website and the product. Having a good grasp of many affiliate programs will help you make better websites for clients (who may then send you more clients or return for more websites themselves ) Good Luck
You might want to check out something like www.TemplateMonster.com - your clients can buy a template from your aff link, and you can then charge them to set it up and tweak it for them. Unless you can sell hosting or domains to your clients from a CJ advertiser, I can't see how CJ would help with your web design clients at all. You'd make more by reselling hosting yourself anyway.
