How does CJ (or any other AM) make money?

    Hi,
I have just wondered, how does CJ or any other affiliate marketing company make money?

AFAIK they are not taking money from partners. Do advertisers pay money or what? If they do, how much?

    Thanks,
    old

I'm not sure about that, because I have got a click-based affiliate (like AdSense etc.). The price set in CJ is exactly the same as in any other affiliate network (either local and global affiliate networks). I really doubt that all the affiliate networks take exactly the same amount of money.

CJ charges merchants a percentage of commissions as a fee.

Cj charges merchants. His work is to meet advertiser and publisher together. They will charge merchants for every sale and lead

CJ takes 30% to be more specific.

That's the base rate, yes - however, many advertisers have different fee structures depending on their volume, product type, ad agencies, sale or lead structure, and other value-added services that CJ provides to merchants.

One thing that I should mention for any noobs reading this thread is that CJ takes it's 30% before you get your cut. Meaning if the advertiser says they pay $1 for a lead, that's what you get. But they actually pay CJ $1.30.

setup fees to advertisers, about 4k or so.
Then 30% of commissions paid out.
monthly min is 500 for cj commissions.
    so yea, adds up
but of course, everything is negotiable
