how does civilized countries treat their learned men ?

    well..in Canada smart people are rewarded with good jobs and are generally treated then those of subpar intelligence. I would say that most civilized countries afford a great deal of respect to smart people.

    I guess learned people are given proper recognition and funding by their respective governments.
