How does buying blog posts work?

    I see lots of offers in BST or whatever about people offering blog posts. How do these work? Do you insert links in them or write them about your site or what? I'm confused. Thanks.

    buying blog posts is one the best ways for building backlinks but i'm staying away from blog networks (this is just my personal opinion)
