How does Alexa work?

I have a site thats got a rank of 341,075 is that any good?

The reason I ask is that I would like to sell hard links on it (its a mainstream site mainly for gamers and computer hardware sites based around windows vista)

Your Alexa rank is good but by showing only Alexa traffic rank, you won't get any good sell. People like to know about traffic, page views and page rank.

 

100k< is good, and links are sold based on PR, page quality and number of indexed pages.

 

Alexa 340k that means about ~1000-1500 unique visitors / day.
Check your stats and tell me if I'm right

No. Its more like 500/month. Yet Alexa is BS and you never know.

 

PR is more important than ALEXA

 

slightly short
site gets between 2500 and 3000 a day
tis picked up on google quite a lot on front page for keywords Vista + Games

was a PR5 but a bad decision on buying backlinks and we dropped to PR3
