How Does AdWords Placement Ads Work?

I'm aware strongly right now how AdWords CPC Search works but how exactly does the "Placement Ads" section work? I see they have big sites, MySpace.com being one of them that you can advertise on.

The reason I ask is because recently I started a campaign to run here on DigitalPoint's forums, but to say the least, I have not seen any impressions OR clicks. Maybe someone can please lead me in the right path.

placement advertising is basically content advertising with control over which sites to be displayed or not displayed on.

i could be wrong, but my assumption is that your bidding may be too low to be displayed on digital point. check out the ads that rotate throughout this forum. essentially that is your competition. do you think u are bidding around what they are? are your ads and landing pages relevant to the forum pages of digital point?

Increase your cpc as there is too much competition for ads on digitalpoint.

You have to bid pretty high to get any impressions here...
