Wanted to know how does this AdSense program work. Do you sign up through Google or through Digital Point? How much $$ can be made? Is it just $50 a month or can you make a lot more than that?

    Through google, become a publisher.
Easy process, and please, read the TOS.

The entire process is simple, as google takes you step by step, with tutorials, screenshots, etc.

    How much?
Depends on your site, the ads, the visitors, the visitors who click on the ads, the time of the month (just threw that one in there).

There are a lot of people with a lot of money making sites, who have either never heard of adsense, or have never got into adsense.
Then there are those people with big sites that do not have adsense on them (face it, if you can sell banners and text links on a site and make 10 grand or more a month, why piddle around with adsense) for a lot of reasons, yet they use google adwords to drive traffic to their sites.

Thanks for your reply. But do you have to have a Site? I found out about Digital Point through an article In the Business section of the St.Petersburgh Times.

It mentioned that people who Join Digital Point can make money when they Post Threads. From what I understood Is if anyone who read your thread & clicked on the Ads that were displayed with the thread that the person who started the thread can make money when someone clicked on one of those Ads.

If I misunderstood the article It self then please correct me. Also I see a lot of people mention Click & Impressions. I'm assuming that Click means when some clicks on the Ad. But what Is an Impression?

    Thanks

Yes, you put Adsense on YOUR site to make money. You also NEED a site to join Adsense. The people who make money through DP does so by participating (voluntarily) in DP's ad revenue sharing program. But you can't participate unless you have an ADsense account and you can't get an Adsense account unless you have a site.

And don't believe the hype. You're not going to become a millionaire within a week with Adsense. It takes MONTHS to make decent money, and even years to make enough to quit your day job.

P.S. If you've never made a site in your life, and you have no desire to start a web career, I wouldn't bother. You'll just end up paying for high-priced "How to Make Money with Adsense" books, lose a lot of time, and get nothing back. This is for those who wants to put in a LOT of time and effort into it.

    There you go...discouraging a newbie!
Now how in the world will I ever sell all my adsense books and software?

    LOL LOL

But true, Jack does speak the truth.
Do not be like me or so many others and waste time and money buying books, sites, etec etc.
Was a hard lesson for me!

Unless you are ready to spend 4 hours a day minimum on your site, marketing your site, answering emails (plus getting the good fortune of finally getting tons of spam mail!), keep your day job.
