How does adsense really work?

Hi everyone..

Sorry but I am just new to internet marketing and doing business online. I just wonder how does adsense really work .. I have read topics about that but I don't really get how one could earn much through that. Please share your knowledge and ideas guys. Well I'm still in the learning stage actually..

Thanks for your response but I'm just so confused on where to start..

I mean what should be my first step in jumping to this kind of money-earning strategy?

Do I need to invest financially or what?

I heard some good stories about this but also heard some downside on this..

 

1). Create a nice website or blog with unique content.
2). Add Adsense Ads
3). Weekly you should add for example 10 posts with minimum 200 words.
4). Make money with Google Adsense.

 

Place the adsense code on your site once you are approved, and it will display relevant ads to match the site's content.

So there really are no financial investments involved here? I just have to create my own site/blog then apply for adsense.. Next thing is how to get approved? I actually read a lot from other people being rejected when applying, why is this so? What are the possible reasons on getting rejected?

Also, if ever I already got approved can I put the code on websites I don't know? My sister has her blog and we thought of sharing it.. is that possible?

Adsense works like this:

1, You have a website with traffic.
2, You join Adsense at google.com/adsense.
3, Grab ads from adsense.

4, Place the ads on your website.
5, You get payed for every unique ad click.
6, Check stats in google.com/adsense.

Create a Blog then i think u need to wait for 6 months to get adsence approval (Submit after 6 months to adsence)

And meanwhile post good content mainly note should not be copy righted content

 

Just to clarify guys, I only earn or get paid when the ads are clicked? Not that my site is visited or my articles are read???

So it merely depends when people click the ads? I thought I could earn when people visit my site or read my blog.
Or this way is another earning strategy? No longer an adsense-related thing?
