So I put Adsense for search and I tested it, the page is just a SERP listing and there are no ads at all on it. How do I make money with that
There are ads for specific keywords. People have to click those ads for you to make money, not on the search results.
i believe its different from normal search.. query and then click to other site on the SERP result.. referral is adsense..
They have to click paid links in search results for you to make money. If they do not have paid links you do not make any money.
It's similar to normal search on Google. If your visitor searches for specific keyword, if the ads are to appear and to be clicked, you will earn money. Not a real money maker (adsense for search) if you ask me.
Ads will show for the right keywords/searches. Our adsense search box earns about 2-3 times (ECPM) that our content ads make. Unfortunately we don't generate the same number of searches as we do content pageviews... But it is still a nice chunk of change... =)
I read your post yesterday saying you increased your earnings using Google adsense search instead and your CMS search function. So went ahead and copied you but couldn't figure out how it makes money.. But I just noticed it only displays ads for certain keywords. I also made a custom 404 page and put on there, and people are using it. but no clicks yet
