How does Adobe have perfect PR on all pages? (I didn't see this when I did a search so I apologize if this has already been discussed?)
According to the PageRank algorithm, Adobe is more important than the government of the US. For example, almost every site of the US government is linking Adobe (they have forms in PDF format, to open them, they suggest using Acrobat Reader), but the reverse is not true, so there you have a bunch of one-way links from important sites.
Do you think it would be hard to get a link from them But seriously, a company website more important than the government of the US website, thats pretty good going. Nothing beat a great product! great content is one thing, but if your product really has something universal to offer your set for life, even if the 'main' products are free
Interestingly enough, even Slashdot has more backlinks shown by Google than the White House: Results 1 - 100 of about 31,200 linking to www.adobe.com Results 1 - 100 of about 22,300 linking to www.microsoft.com Results 1 - 100 of about 16,200 linking to www.slashdot.org Results 1 - 100 of about 10,700 linking to www.whitehouse.gov
