Say someone pays Yahoo 10 cents per click(why pay or bid more?) do they get a choice where to have their ADs? If I wanted to promote real estate, I would only want my ADs in other real estate websites. I would also want my ADs to appear on the top of Yahoo search. I saw Yahoo used to put something like "23 cents cost to advertiser" and ive seen some very high ranked ADs at over $1 a click! Where do I and others find this section on Yahoo search? Why would anyone pay/bid more than 10 cents a click if it doesnt matter? I thought it did but it looks random to me and I dont see any one person appearing on the top and where does it say how much cost per click?
obviously it does matter. please search google (or yahoo) for ppc marketing 101 so that you may understand the nature of bids and why some people in some niches pay upward of 30 dollars and more for a click as opposed to a mere 10 cents. as for your relevant question (to this forum) as to how you get your 10 cent ads to show only on pages that are about your niche, this most likely is already occuring as you should be bidding on keywords from your niche. if a content page matches your kw and you are in the content network your ad may appear. however, you will have to wait until every other advertiser in your kw niche has used up its budget. because you are only paying 10 cents and they are paying $1, 75 cents, 2 dollars, etc. since they are willing to pay more, they will be shown more. so while these people may get hundreds of clicks per day and however many conversions, you will get none. however, yahoo search marketing did make a change where bid price is not the only factor in determining ad positioning. i have not seen evidence of this being passed on to the content network. if you are interested in this, please do a search and locate this information in detail. also, please tell me your url so i may add your url to my block list. i wouldnt want your 10 cent ad to show up on any of my sites and by the nature of your question, you wouldnt want your ad to show up on any of mine either. jmo
I searched and no one is paying $30 a click. Show me where. One expert says he pays 5 to 50 cents a click and gets lots of traffic. I am getting a few clicks. Will be making more keywords and also working with other affiliates. Sure I could get 100+ clicks a day if I paid $1 per click but at a 2% conversion rate and $25 comission per sale, its a huge loss. Where do I find out how far up on the top of Yahoo's search engine I am? I believe im in 3rd position at 10 cents a click which is very good. Also does Yahoo disclose how much others are paying per click? I remember they used to, do they still? Where do I find this then? Edit: the text is in gray letters and says something like (cost to advertiser) or (sponsor cost) and its ranked from highest to lowest cost.
