I'm just curious - how on earth does this site manage to get a 3 pagerank? http://gamers-play.blogspot.com/ From what I can see, it is a fairly new blog with only 2 posts. Can someone enlighten me?
PageRank is given by having incoming links. The blogger site has like 22 link or so which is more then enough for a PR3. The AOL one has a few as well.
Just doesn't seem right. Non experts like me and probably normal customers see the pagerank as a sort of quality measurement.
Alright, I have a site with a link coming in from a PR6 site, as well as about another 15 sites linking to it - however its still PR0. I know I'm new, but shouldn't my site be up to a PR3 then as well?
It's logarithmic correct, so gettin a low number would be easy, but moving to a higher number would be insanely hard? Does anyone know the base?
It just goes to show that the page rank system is pretty flawed. Really all it is, is a pretty number to look at. Doesn't mean anything as far as quality content, until you get into pr5 and higher.
