When I access a site via a proxy server, does that IP follow me if I click out of the first page? In other words, I'd like to visit a site that is a link on my site, and from that site, I'd like to go into the contact us page, will my IP still show up as the Proxy site?
depends on what sort of setup you have going. is this a proxy entered into your browser settings? if so, all pages will use it if it's active. until you deactive it. but it's complicated. not all proxies are "anonymous." even if they are "anonymous proxies" it's still possible to find out what IP you're using. a proxy just adds one more step to the process. if your proxy is on "proxy host 93," anyone with access to "proxy host 93" can get your ip.
A web-based proxy is a website that allows an end user to browse the web anonymously using the website. When the page is accessed, it is transmitted through the proxy server and ultimately to the end users computer terminal.
