How does a dummy get started?

Is using this co-op network as easy as cut and paste some code on your sites?

If I have 5 different sites, can I just cut and paste code on my sites and then create a banner or use affilite ads for my ad in the co-op.

Is it that easy guys and gals?

It certainly is that easy (from a fellow dummy) for php and .htm/.html sites. I won't comment on the other extensions as I haven't tried them.

Yes you can display a banner - although I'm not sure how many people are displaying them on their sites.

So if you would not supply a banner what would you supply as an ad?

It's just a check box option on the ad design form. Simple as can be. I'm not much of a coder at all and didn't have any problems setting it up on multiple sites.

BigA just click the text ad box - that is if you want an anchor link of "Modular Homes" then use just that as your advertisement "Modular Homes" - not more not less :)

Got any URL's of your participation that you can post to show us how it works in real life?

Also what is this thing about no one using banners on the network?

What would run on my sites in exchange for my participation?

Everything is based on the traffic you get to your sites also, correct?

I just meant that every site I go to has the text links displayed. I would be curious if anyone was displaying banners
Any sites that are in the network (You can pick how many ads up to 5)
No, its based on number of pages indexed and PR mostly

So would I add text links manually to my pages or cut and paste some code in?

You guys keep talking about "ADS", but this is really text links as shown at the bottom of Foxy's pages, correct?

Yes. Ad is (depending on how you choose the code-to-be-copied to be) text link, text link with a sentence, or banner.

Yes you copy it to each and every page or, in a footer/include.

The best thing to do Anthony is just sign up and have a go. Then post any questions you have if you get stuck during the process.

If you have even a semi decent hosting provider (in case they need to change a setting for you) it will be an easy add on.

    Cheers

I tried it out on my new forum, but ive had SFA results, I dont think its worth it untill you have some PR on your site, I had trouble with mine as it uses google to check for adds on your site and every time google partially indexes my site or cant find a page because of a redirect I get dropped, Im going to rip mine out and put in something else once I can be arsed unless someone can tell me of some benifits I can get out of a newly started forum with COOP.

You should be sweet as a nut darksat - your site is php - the coop uses the api to check the number of pages and the links etc and you should just be able to place a footer site wide - if you have some html lurking this can be problematical but redirects handle that. :)
