How does a 5 hour old thread have a pagrank?

But shouldnt that propogate the same PR as the main page??

I have noticed it a bit lower, might just reference it as related content and the URL without the querystring as the base or homepage of that content.

That's not always the case, they should have their own PR but sometimes the tool bar messes up

 

I'm looking at the URL, thinking, "Am I the only one looking at a six month old post? What the hell does he mean, 5 hours?"...

I swear, unnecessary bumps need some serious penalties, dammit. Especially when they just jump in as if the conversation never ended.
