    even if they have no ads twiter is not losing money, their domain value is increasing daily so if the owners ever decided to sell it theyd have their pockets filled with money.

    Most of the success stories I've heard about Twitter are mostly from celebrities and authors, concerts, gigs...I never really had any success aside from mere traffic

    I think you can promote your site to twitter, it could get a massive traffic to your site, especially if you have a tons of followers. You can use twitter as your marketplace.
