I think Blogger considers this to be spamming now. With their image captcha, they want to make sure a real person is pushing out the blog entry. I wouldn't know what to do if I wasn't able to save drafts. I'd have 10 entries one day and 0 for two weeks!
I have about five blogs I'm writing for and more that I'm editing. Only two do I try to post to 5 times a week, the rest maybe 2-3 times per week. In my perfect world, I have my posts written ahead of time and post them on a daily basis. That seldom happens, though because 1) too much writing to do and I'm always in the hole, and 2) sitting on a newsworthy post loses me "scoops" and potential "authority" status. If I'm first to press on a story, everyone links to me, otherwise I'm just an also-ran.
Exactly, that is why I put up with the WordPress problems. I've got one blog set up through March. We won't talk about the others that are hideously behind. In my dream world I'll be ahead on all of them and basking in the sun on a beach somewhere.
I love Wordpress. On weekends I usually do 5 non-time sensitive posts for Monday-Friday, so that my blog gets updated at least once a day. Then on a daily basis I will add topical posts on breaking stories.
Has writing ahead of schedule ever worked against you? e.g. writing about how funny Richard Pryor is, and not realising that he died until 2 days after your blog posted. Sorry for the morbid idea, first thought that popped into my head.
