How Do You Write Your Articles/Posts?

    Hey guys,

Just wondering how you all write your articles or blog posts, do you just write randomly and then think of a title or do you think of a title and write based on that title?

Just looking for new ways to write my articles.
    Thanks :)

Well normally I choose randomly subject to writer but make sure it's popular one and very recent one. Sometime I used to check online Magazines and news site to get idea about trend. Then I put whole concept in 200 to 500 words article and choose an attractive article title which catch eye to readers.:)

Here's some ideas to get you going:

Use Google's Hot Trends to look for what people are searching for right now.

If your blog is niche-specific, find a forum about that niche and read what people are asking questions about. (Hmmm... maybe I need to write a blog post about this question!)

Check Yahoo Answers for questions people are asking.

Basically, anywhere you can find out what people are asking/searching for, will give you plenty to work with.

Also, I read somewhere that checking out Amazon's popular book searches and book titles will give you ideas. (Not sure where I read that. Probably an eBook on my hard drive)

And, of course, eBay's Hot Trends.

Post a poll or send out a questionnaire to your mailing list, asking them directly what they would like to see.

And, last, but not least, check what other blogs in your niche are currently writing about.

    Good luck!

I get some of my ideas while reading through other peoples blogs or forum post. Forums can be a good source for information because there are so many points of view. Sometimes I will read through a forum thread, form an opinion and write about my thoughts. Its easy to copy and paste from forum post, but please do not do that. If you borrow someones idea, give them credit.

To add to that, I might make a video about the article and post it on youtube. The video is then embedded into the post on my blog.

Sometimes I will make a big post on my forum. I will then copy my own post, edit it, and post the revised copy on my blog.

Well my main blog has a specific topic that I know alot about so that narrows down my article choices. I usually have at least 10 article ideas and I work on them when I can.

Ooh! Ooh! I just thought of another one! LOL!

When you have written an article, you can re-purpose that same article by re-writing it in different ways. For instance:

Your regular article can be re-written as a "10 easy tips for...(your subject here)"--type post.
And then again, as a FAQ/QnA type article.
    As an interview.
    As a list
Create a video post (as suggested above)
    Create an audio post

All this with the same article. There's tons of ways to get more quality content.

Good question! Made me put my thinking cap on! LOL!

    Nice one CJ :)
So like pretend its an interview or actually do the interview?

Lol quite a good idea, but you would have to post a few posts in between, but nice one, thanks!

But shouldnt be exactly the same, or if you are going to post everything over and over, just let it go auto-pilot, it will save you time

Actually, both. It's not too hard to find someone to interview, when you have a connection to a place (for instance) like DP... :)

And yes, re-purposed articles would need to be spaced out. It's for those days when you are suffering writer's block or a mental breakdown--err, lack of ideas to write about. LOL!!!

I always think of the title/subject in the first place and then proceed with the body of the article. Choosing the subject is what takes more time and thoughts than writing the content.

If your blog is a wordpress blog, then I would suggest use CC plugin. Its the best on the net to get high quality posts/videos/articles. Paid plugin well worth the money.

I always think about title/subject first and then only write about content for that. Also whenever i need to do this job for me from other writers i just send them titles.

    DON.

I write about something that is in the news.

The "10 best ways to do" kind of posts aren't bad either- they have a long shelf life in comparison to news posts.

Most of the times I use what CJ told. I think most bloggers use those trick. But recently my posts originate from my twitter conversations. Give it a try.

look at the hot topic and then do some research before sit down and write about it. Or just outsource it for few bucks per unique article.
