I'm not a professional writer, but this advice works for many situations. To get into the mood you may create some rituals or triggers. For example, taking a shower-warming up-making a cup of coffee. Make that a habit and later it may help you to get the right mood for doing your things (like copywriting in that case)
Trying to meet a deadline or make a client happy or producing X amount of promotional jingles when not being in the mood to write, is a challenge.
It is really important to rise above procrastination. You must always use self incentivizing to make sure that you stay on top of your game. You can use Pinterest for inspiration, or even some images of what good content can look like this will help you stay inspired. Looking at your family or friends or anyone who motivates you to work can help too. apart from this novelty in the shape of good coffee should also help writers, but without a dependence, I must say.
I always found that these took away my time so that it was harder for me to write, but I do get your point.
There are different ways I can motivate myself to power through an uninspired moment. It depends a bit on the nature of the writing I'm attempting. For fiction, I just remind myself that something unique often arises from writing when I'm in these moods. Forcing myself to create feels like a more analytical process, versus being in the mood and feeling the words pour out effortlessly. On the other hand, when it's non-fiction work I've accepted, and there's a deadline, I focus on my work ethic to get me through. My desire to meet my personal standards and maintain (and improve) my professional standing keeps me from allowing moods to completely ruin my productivity. I'm not saying it makes the work easy to slog through in those moments, though.
Go clear your mind, writers often tend to force themselves to write, which is of course bad! You'll produce bad quality material, your articles ــOr whatever you're writingــ wont be as good as toddler's speech! Clear your mind, read something you enjoy take a deep breath do something that makes you feel the relief. After some time get back to your writing corner, you will notice a high energy field surrounding you, which will cause creativity to slip magically through your fingers! Good luck out there fellow writers, remember don's force yourselves!
Me too, when I read something I like it tends to make me feel better about myself, positive energy is vital in our lives, many of us strive with agony rather than striving with faith and belief!
When I wrote psychology dissertation I had neither the time nor the energy, so I turned to special services for help.
You know, this brought up a thought: have you professional copyrighters ever "farmed out" a project to another writer and took a cut of the fee, instead of all of it, when you were not in the mood to write or perhaps did not have the required expertise to write a piece?
And what pray tell, would those "special services" be? @jrbiz Yes indeed I have often in the past "farmed out" projects, and even set up lucrative full/part time jobs for other writers when I have either been too busy, or just couldn't get in the mood to do it.
Assuming you are making a margin on these deals, farming out projects could become a very lucrative business, in itself, no?
