here is an article I posted not to long ago on how I use twitter to promote my sites I also posted it on digitalpoint, a good read IMO
I suggest you to be active over there, and chat with your followers personally, build up a relationship and then, in around another 2 months, start promoting "SOME" of your sites, but don't overdo it
Create account for niche. Find other Twitter accounts for similar niche. Begin to follow their followers. Make sure to release good, hot content on your Twitter account everyday (best results 15 per day) and you will find that they will also follow your account. After that, you can take myriad paths including putting up affiliate links, promoting your own site or just sending out positive messages to your fan base.
There are many ways to market on Twitter. Here is what I've found: 1. Appear Human - Nobody wants to follow a company they've never heard of, and nobody wants to see sales pitches all day. They want to follow interesting people. 2. Provide Value - Give people a reason to follow you. Most people will not follow you because of all the interesting things you're selling. Give them something that they can't get somewhere else. 3. Post links sparingly - No matter what you shouldn't post links too often, even if they are links to other sites besides your own. And don't post too many links to your own site either - this can get you banned.
I use twitter to get traffic for my articles. I use a spinner from easyarticlespinner.net and then I distribute the contents into article sites. I get the links and then I tweet them.
