How do you use same hosting account to host multiple sites in Godaddy.com?

    Hello,

I just bought a new site from sites section and the previous owner sent me all the files and domain. Now, I already have a hosting account hosting my first site. So, can I use the same account to host my new site too? If yes, can someone please explain me how and where to go to do it. I have my first site at the root, so do I need to create a new folder in my root and put all files there? and what setting I have to do in Godaddy's control panel too? Sorry for asking too many questions ;)

    Thanks

    Hi,

If your plan is higher than their 'Economy Plan' - it should provide for multi-domain hosting. You need to check your plan first as it is not as simple as just creating a new folder in the root directory. Then if your plan has that option it is normally as simple as listing the domain in your control panel under the 'hosted' section. However, it would be best for you to check with GoDaddy support on how to do this - as their control panel can be a challenge.

    All the best.

First, you need to ask GoDaddy if you have facility to host multiple sites in one plan in the price you paid to him.

Second, you can not just create a folder in File Directory with that new domain name, you must add it through an option at hosting panel for it. It may be with add on domain or add another domain.

What control panel are you using, that would be easy to determine if it was like cpanel/direct admin.
