Anyone here who is a user of Camtasia? How do you use it in order to upload video to Youtube? How do you convert the file so that it becomes uploadable to Youtube?
Camtasia uses its own file format right? You could always use www.CamStudio.org (free, open source) instead - it creates plain old AVIs that can be uploaded or edited anywhere.
The reason I use CamStudio is because it's VERY fast to work with. I just record my screen cap videos, DivX them, then email or upload them. No thinking required. And because it's free, I can download and install it on whatever PC I'm using. Bottom line... it's free, open source, AND it works! Which in my book does make it better
I will give it a try. I haven't used it before. If CamtasiaStudio does a better job than Camtasia (commercial), I will start promoting this free software.
Here's a video which explained how to set Camtasia for Youtube video format conversion, hope it's helpful. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHjX3dU4Luc
Camtasia is a video file format and by using it you can upload any video on youtube. for example... use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload. or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces.... this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way. Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more. It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload. It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"
