I need to track my keyword conversions, I don't have a landing page I'm sending traffic directly to the offer. I can see which keywords get clicks through YSM reports, I just need to know which keywords are converting to sales. I was told to send my Yahoo pixel (conversion tracker) to my azoogle AM and they installed it on the "thank you" page of my offer. My conversions aren't showing up in my Yahoo account. I confirmed with my AM if the code was installed on the "thank you" page, they confirmed it was. I also guess they do this all the time so they're probably doing this correctly. Spoke to Yahoo they said, they've never had a problem with their code not working and it's that simple, just copy/paste the code. Yahoo wants the source code to the "thank you" page to test and find out what's going on. I e-mailed my AM, but it's the weekend and I really don't know if they'll give me the source code probably for security reasons. Anybody gone through a simliar problem with tracking keywords? Any suggestions or alternatives? Thanks
I'm sorry but my ADD kicked in after the first 4000 lines... that website is just ridiculously too long.
I create a unique URL for every single keyword. This unique url then edits my tracking code to have a unique passthrough ID in it.
it does work in adwords and msn but can you do this in ysm? when i change the url for one kw in the ad group they must aprove the new landing page. so how does it work for 1000s kw?
KeywordRadar is a great keyword conversion tracking tool with a lot of features... they charge a one time fee of $97. http://xrl.us/KeywordRadar
I have been using yahoo analytics. You provide your azoogle am with the pixel code and he places it in the post sign up page. Works good and it's freeeeeee
The problem with providing a pixel code to your AM is you are giving away your converting keywords to the affiliate company and the merchant. The affiliate companies AND merchant's also do their own PPC campaigns. You don't think your AM is peeking at your best converting keywords? They can easily pass these along to others or take them with them when they quit the job! Keyword Radar assigns a unique numerical code to each keyword so the affiliate company and merchant never know what keywords are making the lead/sales. Xtreme Conversions is another good solution but the price is now $177... Keyword Radar is only $97 and does much, much more. http://xrl.us/KeywordRadar
that's exactly what I did, but my conversions aren't showing up in yahoo. I copied/pasted analytics code sent to AM. I waited 24 hrs and now it's been probably close to a week, and no conversions showing up in my reports, but I have had conversions in my azoogle account for this particular offer, and I only send traffic from yahoo. Yahoo says they've never had a problem with their code. Azoogle is going to test to find out if the problem is on there end. It's been a couple days, haven't heard from them.
With thousands and thousands of keywords, this becomes a problem for me, especially since I don't know programming to automate. Also, you shouldn't use your keyword, many people have told me that if you use your keyword then your affiliate managers will know which keywords you're using which are converting and use them. I'm not saying I've seen this happen on azoogle or anything like that. This is what I was told from many many people to not let your AM's or your networks know your keywords. Instead of using the actual keyword in your url to create the passthrough ID. Use codes. Example: Create a list of all your keywords in Excel, and then assign a code, "1", "2", "3", etc..etc.. and make notes. Save your worksheet. Now, use this code to make your affiliate id. If you get a conversion, refer back to your Excel sheet to see which keyword was assigned to that number.
Yes, never expose your converting keywords. Either manually assign codes to your keywords or use scripts like Xtreme Conversion or Keyword Radar to do it for you if you have huge keyword lists. http://xrl.us/KeywordRadar
I'm digging Entep's Tool.... very basic and does the job. I would use Radar if it worked for other ppc networks. Not all of them are search engines.
I'm thinking of getting, Entep's software, do I have to contact my AM to set it up (place pixel on webpage?), or will the software take care of everything? Is it easy to setup with 10,000 keywords? Does Azoogle's system allow that many referral ids? Thanks EDIT: I just bought the software anyway since several people recommended it, and that website like Entep posted mentioned using this software with azoogle.
