How do you track your adsense channels?

    I have over 40 active adsense channels which I'm not tracking effectively.

    Problem 1: I changed a database login thinking it was only for one site, however it killed one of my adsense sites. My adsense for that channel went to 0. I never noticed this until a month later.

    Problem 2: I modified my ad colors and ad size on a site and it made my ctr nosedive. I was so damn busy and am tracking so many channels that I never saw the drop for almost 1.5 months.

    I want a red flag to raise every time a channel drops when it shouldn't or below a certain point.

    How do you track your adsense channels?

    Because adsense is so volatile, I'm thinking of tracking a moving average, but what system do you use to track a large number of channels?

    People can get nuts with the channels. Every now and then you'll see some noob post about how he's used up his 200 channels and where can he get more, like that's supposed to impress us or something. I only use individual channels for one reason: when I'm testing out a new ad spot (on an old or new site) so I can get a feel for what works and what doesn't; after a month, I usually turn off the individual channels and go back to URL channels. If you have too many sites, you can end up pouring over 200 individual channels all day long and forget that the real work to making a commercially viable website is traffic, traffic, traffic, not spending all day with your nose in your channels.

    @jackburton

    I'm not trying to impress anybody. The channels are for entire domains and a few are for subdomains.

    They are very valuable because as I mentioned they point me out to potential problems on my domains with adsense plus valuable for many more reasons.

    However 40 is quite a few to watch and I'll probably be adding more, so I'm looking for a good way to track them. Any advice?

    For some reason it won't work for me with my site url that looks like this:

    www . example . com/page1.php

    does adsense tracking not work for php urls?
