Hi I am selling an ebook and have made a few sales, but would like to know where those sales are coming from. How can I do this? Can I use Google Analytics for this? Thanks Zach
i think you use separate tags for different things, depends on what you're tracking like for google use one tag, for msn use another or even within google you can split tags for different keyphrases and i wish i could say i made sales
It depends what level of control you are looking for. If you need to know the PPC keyword that produced the sale, you'll likely need to send the page owner a note with your tracking code from google analytics. If you just need to know which links are converting, though, you can likely do this when you create your Clickbank hoplink - just put in the Tracking code there, and then use different tracking links for different pages - so when make a sale, this tracking link will show up in Clickbank on the sale detail page. -T
The most direct and easiest way was to contact the owner and ask them to either help you set up the tracking stats, or send you information on the sales you've made. Ask nicely and I'm sure they'll most be glad to help you...
While creating a hop link, you are asked to mention Tracking ID. This will help you in tracking the sales.
