    I know its an old thread but . . .

    I have just wasted half the morning realizing that quickbooks is overkill. Does anyone have an excel template they could share? I searched microsoft.com and came up blank.

    You can go a very long way with Excel.

    Having direct access to the formulae means that you can change anything at any time.

    If the data entry is a problem, you can always put in a few VB input macros.
