how do you guys think this forum got so many members? i know that it took a lot of time, of course, but there had to be some marketing that went in behind it because this forum is separated from all the other webmaster forums as being the best.

do you think he used adwords? link buying and seo? paid postings to begin with?

i know he didnt become the best solely on luck, maybe a part of it, but im sure this all didnt happen by chance!:D

    Hmm..that is a good question.
Would probably have to get the answers from the forum owners!
I'd say a combination of all of those things.

The answer is very simple and straight forward
Thousands and thousand of hours of toil and input by the owner and his small team
    It's not rocket science
    It's called 'HARD WORK'
oh by the way they are
    Smart Too:cool:

Luck, hard work, and he had a member base from his products he made. Make something innovative, and you can spin off from there ;)

Talk about a vague answer. OP asks how DP got so popular and you answer with hard work.

I think the ad revenue sharing concept brought in a lot of members because it was new and not many other sites used it.

Being ahead of the curve perhaps? I am sure a lot of work went into launching it and planning it.
