How do you think our new President will do? A: Do you believe he will crash and burn? B: Do you believe he will stand up and deliver that which he has promised making him an excellent president. C: Who cares...?
I think he'll be one shitty president except the only difference is that he'll do it and tell the populous that he's helping them out, thus maintaining a decent approval rating.
hehe, well no one can receive a lower approval rating than bush at the end of his term can they? I mean it's physically possible to receive 0% but I mean you'd have to really try to do a worse job than him.
I have to say that I'm pretty darn disappointed in his Cabinet choices. One guy didn't pay $34,000 in taxes. He "forgot" until the Obama team "reminded" him. Does anyone else here think the common man on the street can "forget" to pay his taxes? If you or I forgot, we would've been thrown out on the street by now.... And I keep hearing about some woman Obama appointed that is part of a horrible Socialist organization. And Obama sits here and tries to protest that he's not a Socialist, yea right. I guess he just appoints them to do his dirty. Oh, and don't let me forget about my lovely Governor Richardson. Anyone here in NM will tell you the guy is just as dirty and corrupt as any other politician. Got busted doing naughty things and had to back out....the guy wouldn't actually even do ANYTHING as Governor until he started running for President and needed votes.... Didn't Obama have someone do some research on these damn people before he even announced them? Change my ass....all I see is Obama appointing more worthless, dirty politicians that can't wait to screw over the little guys. Too bad the little guys are you and me.......
So far the signs are good. He's pissing people off on the left with his appointments(well I'm sort of counting choosing Rick Warren to do his swearing in as an appointment too) and he's making some people on the right look at what he's doing with their head tilted to the side like a confused puppy. He ran on a platform of trying to unite and governing pragmatically and his appointments have stayed true to that. Pissing people off who are far left or far right is a good sign. Most of us are in the middle and have felt like bastard children for too long. The extremes get too much attention. If you really want to unite you have to play to the middle, which means compromise and not doing things by your party's playbook.
If you wrap dogshit up in a pretty enough package, the package might sell itself. The real problem is when you open it up.
I doubt he can really make a difference, honestly what can he do, hr can't just magically make the economic better overnight.
