Hi there I'm new to Cj and was wondering how you would know if the advertiser was using CJ as their payment processor. I'm promoting one product from CJ but not sure if the advertiser is using CJ?? Hope that maes any sense?

CJ is not a payment processor. If a merchant has an affiliate program through CJ, you will get commission based on what the merchant's program tells you they pay.

I think you are getting terms confused. CJ is a large affiliate network, PayPal is a payement processor.

CJ tracks the commissioned sales for the merchants and pays affiliates.

Most websites don't have the recourses to create their own affiliate program. Commission Junction provides the advetisers with the technical knowhow, affilaite program management, takes care of payments and really runs the affiliate business for said site or advertiser. MOST IMPORTANTLY, CJ provides the advertisers with a network of publshers ready to promote the site when they sign onto the CJ network. CJ get paid to manage the affiliate programs for these websites. CJ.com collects payments from merchants or maintains accounts for them and CJ sends your payment via check or direct deposit. Basically, CJ is the middle person and connects the publisher with advertisers. It's important to have CJ as a go between because you can trust them, they pay and they make it easy to track all of your programs and also get paid for your earnings. Best!
