How do you tell if a Blog is do follow or no follow?

True. Some Wordpress blogs can be set that way globally. In general, however, most blogs do not use that Meta tag.

This is something you should check for on a regular website however. Or more aptly, some sneaky webmasters who use the meta on their link exchange pages.

 

Is it just me? I must have tried about 3 FireFox NoFollow/DoFollow plug in's that highlight the links blue or red depending on their status. After some time goes by or some browser upgrades, the colors stop working, and turn to black, or the colors red and blue becomes so faded I can barely make out what color they are.

I found the Alexa one that works good but I don't need all the extra PR junk that comes with it.. Just looking for a good clear cut No/DoFollow link colorer tool

You cannot toggle the highlighter on/off with that extension. Try SearchStatus 1.26 which also has other useful goodies included (checks backlinks, indexed pages, whois info, keyword density, etc.)

 

Forgive me for being rubbish at this, but how does that firefox add on actuallyy tell you if its do follow or no follow? If you right click on a link in the google search page... and select donofollow, it just kinda higlights every link there is??
