not sure if this was asked before. i have a blog with 60% visitors from US and 30% visitors from UK, so i applied the US amazon affiliate program and placed the code on my blog, but the problem is i can't receive any commision even if the 30% UK visitors buy staff from my amazon links. my question is: how do you guys deal with this problem, is there a way I apply both UK and US affiliate programs and the links will change correspondently based on the IP country of visitors? thanks a lot.
Me too - I set it up very quickly on my site so at the moment I have two sections on the site - if you're from the US go here, if you're from the uk go here, but I can't believe that's the best way?
I've accounts from both. My links are in the following structure Amazon.com | Amazon.ca | Amazon.co.uk | Amazon.fr | Amazon.de | Amazon.co.jp It's pretty clear which one the reader would choose, depending on where they are.
OK - now, this is all good if you have separate stores on your site, but what happens if you want to run clickable image adds by the side of some content. At the moment I am just loading them in from the .com - but wouldn't it be nice to get an option to select the location of Amazon from IP address.
my question is the same as screengold, for example, i want to place an Amazon widget at the right sidebar, what is a good way to show Amazon.com widget for US visitors and Amazon.co.uk widget for UK visitors? cheers.
