How do you SEO for image-rich website?

I am creating a celebrity type of website and the majority of my front page will be made up of pictures (with the exception of blog updates that will show up on front page).

How can I target certain keywords, even though there is not much content on the main page?

 

i think there is two important think for the image seo

*file names
* image alt tags

 

Well, is there any reason you cannot add some relavent text?

If you can get around 120 words onto your page it will help a lot
