For the last one year, I have used many different publisher networks to sell my banner/text inventory , but I realized that they are taking a huge % of the money just to find advertisers. Then, I tried to sell on DP , in the BST section, but sometimes when I was offline the ad buyer would just move & advertise with someone else. So , I now hired a php expert to develop a new script exclusively for my websites, which will make the ad buying process totally automated. Like, Buyer goes to the website, clicks on advertise here, pays & immediately gets an account where he can set the ads he wants to display, the ad weight etc , & the ads are displayed, with me not being involved in the process. This makes it easy for me to sell ads even when I am offline. The only problem is that , this guy charged me a huge amount for the script, & I am unsure about me being able to recover the amount in an year or so. The question I want to ask you is, whether I should go ahead & sell this script to other webmasters , for a small price, get my money back & maybe earn more this way ? I am not sure if any such script is currently available. I am considering selling it at just $25 per website , so that it becomes affordable to most webmasters & I can recover my investment soon by getting a lot of people to purchase it. What would you experts at DP suggest me ? Thanks Ishan
im not really a expert but i would say you should as other websites are going to sell advertising space with or without your script. So you might aswell make a bit of money out of them and help other people not have to pay the fees they pay other people to show there advertise there advertisments Hope that makes sense Thanks
Will you be allowed to sell this script? Also, why didn't you just find an already made script as there are bound to be some on the web. Also, you should allow advertisers to automatically set up an account, but you should always approve ads before they go live just incase they are adult in nature, racist, etc.
