in 50 years no more gas
and probably we'll have few cities that went under water due to global temperature changing.
what is the political and socio cultural vision you have for the near future.

I highly doubt any of that. Global warming (if it's even real) is a VERY slow process. We are talking fractions of a degree in overall climate change over a 10 year period type of slow.

As for gas, we keep finding new ways to get to fossil fuels thus increasing our reserves. Under colorado, utah, and wyoming lies a MASSIVE oil reserve that would last the US 50-100 years, but the technology to extract it is still fairly expensive. Within 10 years we should be able to get to it.

As for politics, I have no idea. The next generation is going to be a bunch of pussies IMO. Look at how they are being raised in the PC country. Go to a little league game, and they don't keep score because "they are all winners". Way to sap out their competative spirit. Playgrounds are filled with soft rubber pellets so they don't hurt themselves when they fall. MY playground was filled with the sharpest rocks on the face of the earth when I was a kid. It's pathetic!

China will have caught up the USA within that span. In political science, there's a rule about that. If it continues to hold true, China will be going to war with us (either real war or a cold war type of scenario).

Hopefully by then, we will have figured out why our actions in the middle east won't work to bring peace or a democracy we want.

Whilst the two countries share some poiltical beliefs and ideals, they are very different in many other ways.

We will never ever ever run out of oil, just cheap oil. Once oil hits $200 a barrel, which I believe it will within the next 5 years, the price to produce and transport goods will be too expensive to operate.

It will be cheaper to shut down factories and lose money then continue to produce goods.

Not quite the master of economics are you? If oil gets to be too expensive, something else will have to come in to take its place. In the short term high oil prices suck, but in the long term, its probably a good thing.

Right now, that could happen because of inactivity from the western world. US could however answer with merging in Canada and Mexico.

Well right now plants such as hemp are being regulated by governments and not allowed to be grown. Hemp could solve almost all of our problems if it could be cultivated in the US.
