Hey there..I run a small SEO firm and I do wonder where the market is heading and how we compare with the Global SEO market. Are there any trends in the US that we’re likely to see here?

the future for search engine optimizers is bright. due to highly demand of website promotion on search engine. but as we know this is also a profession to competing against another SEO so winner will only who can do all tasks himself, who can writer, who can tweet, who can submit. only all rounder can survive in the industry of search engine optimization.

For the end user its always the search engine to search for any result when ever they browse the web. So this has turned to be the basic stratergy for end user.

Online Companies get market if the SEO rankings are high. So this is very much influencial. I agree that a lot of knowledge is still required and is also a long term process for a startup website.

SEO proffesionals are at the peak as everyone is on web and want there website to be listed high. The technology and stratery might change but we cannot question the future of the stream as there is nothing more influencial looking for now.

It's not like SEO is going to die. SEO will only improve and gain more traffic.
So if you think SEO is dying or is going to die, I personally think that is incorrect.

SEO is unlikely ever to be an exact science since the techniques used to promote web pages are constantly evolving as the search engines refine their algorithms to deliver more accurate results whilst combating spam.
When key players at search engine strategies conferences around the world disagree vehemently on the best approach to SEO, yet still deliver formidable results for their respective clients, it clearly illustrates there is as yet no perfect optimization strategy, simply best practice. As the battle for search supremacy became a three horse race the share of search segments has become more evenly distributed between the major players.

Aside from that aspect, I do see a rather bleak future for traditional SEO in many senses. A few years ago, only a fraction of Web sites had even a rudimentary bit of optimization done to them. This made it easy for anyone with the slightest bit of SEO knowledge to come in and obtain some decent results. We also had many more options open to us because there was no one search engine that dominated the searches. If you didn't get high rankings in one engine, it wasn't always the end of the world; you could still get tons of traffic from the other engines.

I believe more personalized search results are in the offing (and I think we're seeing it already). A site or sites that might rank high in the SERPs for you, based on your web usage and search patterns, might not register for someone else performing the same keyword search. This might make "SEO-ing" across the board and being found uniformly by everyone rather difficult...

Its difficult to predict the future of SEO. Once in a blue moon Google changes the algorithm suddenly and we're all affected. Pagerank used to matter a lot in the earlier days not its worthless. The only good thing I can say is that Bing is moving up to compete with Google. Competition is always a good thing!!

Social media is good entertainment for those with time on their hands, but it's a distraction from heartier work like search engine optimization that creates leads and sales. wab site information You spend time on traditional SEO because you know you need to be the top of the results when potential customers search for your products on Google.
