Do you think that it will be the most used web programming language or Ruby or Python will be the leaders (in 10 years)? Thanks in advance for your opinion
When I started programming we saw COBOL as lasting forever, now where did it go? If PHP is around, I think it will still be a major player -- but compared to C#, C++ etc who knows?
In 10 years, I see it still being used. And there still being an argument about 6.0 vs. the current branch (or branches - we'll still probably have more than one). Why? A huge codebase. Many experienced programmers - who don't have to think PHP any more, they just think about how to solve the problem. @tnhomestead: We still use a load of COBOL in our 20 year old system - and they both - COBOL and the old system - still grind out tons of data every day. Sometimes, in production, you don't have the luxury of rewriting a few tens of millions of lines of code.
What programming language is seen as the greatest or best in todays world... i thought php was the most recognised and regarded...
I still see PHP commonly used and used even more in 10 years - it is highly used today and does the job just fine
I think as well, that PHP is used by huge amount of programmers for simple projects and also by gurus to create various frameworks based on OOP within PHP and that's reason why I think it will be always on the playground ;-) Or do you see any other commonly used language which is so popular by so called "website programmers" and newbies which can replace PHP?
hi, i think PHP would diminish in near future because technologies like JAVA and .net are developing day by day.
