    HELP ME CHOOSE A MARKET/NICHE.....

Yes I realise i have chosen a very competative market from the keyword point of view..

I plan to do another site seling somthing in a few months. But before I choose a market/niche, how can i see how competitive a market is, or how saturated it is with competition of SIMILAR SITES TO MINE ??

I want to find a market which hasnt got HUGE competition, how would i go about this/ what research methods would you suggest ?

ZOMBIE INSURANCE - This from the September 1999 Forbes.

Fake life insurance claims are on the rise, yet there are few convictions for fraud. Insurance companies prefer to refuse to pay suspicious claims and hope the claim is abandoned, as opposed to the expense of pursuing the guilty parties. It's reported that immigrants commit much of the fraud. "Death kits" can be purchased in Nigeria and Haiti for $100.they may include a death certificate, photographs, police reports, and even a video of the funeral.

Could be a niche. Have to check the Adwords for traffic though....

froogle.com can be a very good research tool for seeing what is hot and not yet fully tapped.

As can ebay.com Infact ebay is an awesome example of looking for what is hot. Ebay sellers are all over what the latest craze is so take a look at some of the big sellers and you will be getting insider info :)

gee any other business and you would get locked up for insider trading :)

Hey, that's a cool idea! It'll be easy to do the SEO as well, as there aren't that many sites in that industry!

Well the SEO work is still easier in that niche than it is in the SEO niche. Doing a site about SEO is much more stupid since there are lots of them, and their authors know how to SEO ;)

The best way to find unsaturated niches is to find new products that are new and trending.

This can be done with Google Insights or Trends.
