There's a lot of talk about this prophecy that 2012 will be the end of the world. But seriously, I don't really care if it happens or not. If it doesn't happen, then life goes on. If it does happen, then it'll be an experience of a lifetime. For me that's what life's really about - experience. Didn't have the chance to witness the rise of a civilization, but to see it end would be an honour. I know it sounds a bit cold, but anyone feel similar?
It's a bunch of BS. First it was 2000. Then it was 2001. Then was it 2007 or 2008? I forget - probably both. Now it's 2012. I'm sure there were more dates prior to 2000. I'll be dead and gone from old age or some other non-prophetic experience before the end of the world comes.
I would better feel that I die before the world ends, for obvious reasons. its always better to die living others alive.
... I just know that I will be really mad if it happens right after I finish paying off all my bills ...
We all have to go sometime. And chances of us knowing much about the end of the world would be slim. It would probably happen in seconds. To be honest with all the fighting and heartache in the world I would not be surprised if some bent leader pulled the plug with an atomic bomb or some thing before I die of natural causes, I'm 26 by the way. But either way I am sure I will not know much about it.
Earlier there have been theories about the end of mankind. I have studied the current one and i STRONGLY believe that something serious is going to happen in 2012 which will mark the beginning of the end of the world (not an immediate end). In 2012, something will happen after which life will end on earth within a few years.. The prophecy says that the number of people who will survive will be very low. A child will be able to count those people easily. I think the number will be in single digits. But guys, we should not worry. We have to die after all. Maybe those flying saucers we hear about daily in newspapers will come to our rescue??
I completely agree it is beyond our control so there is no point in worrying about it. And, in all honesty like the OP says, if it does come I will almost embrace it. If their is some form of afterlife being part of the apocolypse will be a hell of a conversation starter. That being said, unless it is a meteor I just can't see it happening.
Tom Cruise will jump down off his saucer and teleporter all of us into his ship and take us to the mother land! ha.
I don't think the world will end, I don't think about it at all. If the world is going to end, it will be much after our time. I'm just worried about death, I don't want to die.. Not now.
