I rate it a 7/10 Good factors: The book was a great idea. And the colors matched nicely. Bad factors: You need to fix the border of the book to match the background (the top is more noticeable than the bottom), and you need to make the right section of the book a little more proportional to the length of it, it would make it a little more professional. Also, there is a lot of wasted space to the right.
My suggestions: - Remove the white background of the book - Show the whole book and center aligned the book background. You can put two left sidebars/nav bar
5/10 Good points: the website is pretty unique, doesn't look very cluttered, colours all match. Bad points: it looks a bit old fashoned, it doesnt fit in with the 2.0 style of most websites these days. If your keeping the book, put it in the center with a left and right sidebar. You could also add in a website header Good luck with your website.
Like everyone said, it doesnt fit up to web 2.0 standards. But it is a very unique layout. It doesnt really fit the theme of the website well. But I do like how you pulled it off. 7/10.
