How do you put a stop to a scammer on DP?

Just wondered other peoples advice on this.

When you follow certain threads and you can tell that someone is scamming everyone that he/she comes in contact with what is the proper way to let other honest DP members know about it?

None of these people have left negative feedback so people continue to use the scammer's services.

    Thanks a bunch!:D

    Mary;)

It's up to the other members to leave negative feedback.

And if i-trader abuse takes place, the member(s) will be banned.

I think people are scared to give iTrader because they will get a retaliatory iTrader in return from the "scammer". I have a situation where I am debating whether or not to give negative itrader from a member who scammed me and is coming back from being banned. I guess its not worth it unless it is a ton of money.

That's a good point soju, but I think if someone has a neg, they normally follow the link to the deal thread to see if they can tell what happened. I'd much rather take the chance of getting the bogus negative to show the rest of the community of what's actually going on with the scammer.

Well as far as I'm concerned retaliatory i-trader is abuse of the system.

That sucks for you EGS! I looked at the situation and it is clear that after 6 months, if he wasn't happy he could have negged you sooner. But no he had to wait until you gave him a negative. What a jerk.

hmm i got a good suggestion ere..

    its called hitting the clock..

    - get a golf club
    - hire a hacker to track the hacker down
    - lure him into a "jumping jack" pose where hes spreading
    - and "FORE!"

Yikes so you are saying that if some guy leaves me a itrader for no reason whatsoever i get banned also for no reason even when the only motive of that other person was to get me banned?

If someone leaves i-Trader for no reason, then PM a moderator or admin asap. That way they can fix it before more confusion happens.

If you get scammed on DP I would say go tell the people on NamePros. People here dont care if other people get scammed as long as their iTrader is perfect.
