I send mine off to a service called ArticleSubmit. I believe Ajay is a DP member, but I can't remember his member name.
Hello guys! i just want to ask if anyone of you knows where I can find a free article submission site with good to excellent traffic?
I submit each article to 50+ sites by hand. It's copy and paste and is fun really. It takes me a couple hours for 2-3 days, or around 6 hours total or less to do it. No chore at all..... and I feel a lot better knowing there really getting submitted and all fields are being filled out the way I want them as well as choosing the correct categories on each site.
bluegill_catcher could you please post the list of this 50+ site where you submit articles or send me a private with the list? thanks
Welcome to DP. You may want to read this article then use the sites shown in point #2. They are all pretty good and high traffic . Good luck!
The problem with the popular submission sites is that there are so MANY really, really bad articles being submitted. I think a submission site should excercise some editorial control to make sure an article is actually useful to a reader rather than just merely another one in the bank to generate contextual advertising links.
I have used many services and also done by hand before. Article Marketer when I used it was pretty good. The key is to writing quality and good articles. If you want it picked up by some of the larger places, then you are better off submitting it by hand under your own name and account. Brad
i haven't posted articles yet, but my directory submissions are done by hand. at least i can keep track of where and what.
I've paid for submissions before but I believe, like bluegill, that the best and most accurate way to get your articles 'out there' is to do it manually. Peace of mind is worth a lot in this business.
I posted about my (free) article resource in a couple other DP threads already, but since people here are talking specifically about manually submitting articles... Consider checking out my Directory of Article Directories page. Along with there being quite a few sites listed (over 170 right now), each has a link directly to each of their 'submit' pages along with Google PR and what type of article directory each is. Many/most require registration to submit an article - also indicated for each site on my list - but a fair number don't. I'd suggest submitting your articles to as many directories as possible, but maybe not all in the same day. Of course the highest PR ranked directories will get your article out to the most eyes and be spidered more frequently by the SEs. Check out my resource by doing a Google search for: article directories. Hope that helps! -Steve
I use software to submit to 180 sites. Nothing beats manual submission obviously but it does take quite a while. I can PM my list of sites (with a note of the PR) to anybody who is wanting to submit to them manually.
The service I mentioned above provides manual submission. It occurs to me that there is one possible benefit which I could gain by submitting my articles myself. I could, theoretically, change the articles in small and subtle ways between each submission. This might help avoid some duplicate content penalties. That might pay off for at least the top 3-5 article submission sites.
Hi there, I personally prefer manual posting. The reason is that I get to judge for myself the quality of the hub that I'm posting to. However, having said that, I wouldn't mind getting someone else to do all that work for me provided they do a good job choosing the sites that matter. Some good sites I come across: 1) www.ezinearticles.com 2) www.prweb.com (I notice prweb is available in MyYahoo) Articlesubmit.net appears to have a couple of sites in their list that doesn't go too well with me: 1) www.learningfolder.com 2) www.isnare.com (site no accessible) I did a random check. Maybe it's just a temporary glitch Again, my point is, if you want to get someone else to do it, ensure that they do a good job choosing quality hubs.
I've read several things lately saying that automatic (paid) article submission may cause flags at Google. The sudden increase in backlinks to a site could be cause for concern. Might be better to submit articles manually and slowly over the course of a month or two.
My thoughts are that not all the sites will be spidered at the same time so the links will be spread out over at least a week or two. Also I don't think that a couple of hundred links will raise a flag with google. This could easily occur with a good press release or news story and I am sure you will not get penalized for having a sudden jump of 200 links.
I've posted my article on my blog and then had someone digg it. It went to the frontpage over night and hey, there you go, 10.000 hits in 2 hours. Well done, me!
