Get whois protection and lock the domain name at your registrar, so nobody can steal it.

You can protect your domain name by choose the highest security level possible for your domain name account when register the name, and ensure that you register your domain name with a registrar that offers one of the new hijack-proof security available.

Go to a domain name registrar like Network Solutions. Search for the domain. If it is not already taken (most are) then buy it. You will need to create an account with the registrar in order to buy it. Once you do, choose a hosting company. If you are new at this, just choose to have Network Solutions host it. Then make sure you domain record lists the "nameservers" for your hosting service. Publish your web content to it and you're done.

I don't think people can steal it that easy, shouldn't there be like a procedure to transfer it ?
Ok so even if the stealer somehow bypass that and transfers it, you could just call your domain registar company explain them the situation and they would give it back to you, right ?

It's easy. Lock domain and renew it every year. You have to be very foolish for someone to nab your domain name from you (unless it was enforced by a law court or w/e)

For transferring a domain out you need to unlock it and request a transfer from the new registrar, then they send an email to the email address listed at the domain to verify the request and after that you get the domain code from the old registrar which you need to enter at the new one.
It's a procedure which sometimes doesn't works for the first time even when you are the real owner lol

You can easily protect your domain first you need to login in your domain panel account than need to click on protect privacy. Second do not upload viruses file to your domain, do not share any information regarding domain access whether it is ftp details or domain panel access.
