Agreed - that's the way I, as well as everyone I know, pronounce it. :)

While on the topic of Niche, can i ask the stupid question of what does it mean? I've looked it up, but couldn't really make sense of the definitions...

I've always said Nitch...but...i also pronounce tons of things the wrong way..

rather simple...though hard to explain at the same time...

it is simple (and complexly) a specific area of a more broad topic that one is good at...and hence uses to excel in whatever it is that they wish to accomplish...

    (at least that's my definition)

To expand on that, an example of a niche would be a site selling gadgets specifically for the iPod Nano.

I'm not very good at definitions but I suppose my best attempt at defining "niche" would be "a narrow/specific/specialized subject area". :)

Right, using your example, an iPod Nano shop be a niche site, as oppose to say Amazon - selling all sorts of products?

    right :)

though with that example...just selling mp3 players could be a niche compared to amazon as well

I've said and heard it pronounced both ways.. neeesh and nitch. Personally I think 'nitch' sounds better. I think 'neeeesh' sounds kind of pretentious. LOL

What about the word the? Do you say 'theee' or 'tha' ??
