I've recently started my own Bid for Placement directory and i'm wondering if anyone has any tips on promotion, etc. i.e. What is attractive to possible bidders and how would i go about building my reputation. I'm presuming (probably wrongly! haha) that it's harder to run a successful Bid directory than a standard Free / Paid directory. Am i right? Bam
Purchase high pr directory links and High traffic Links , Submitted to other Paid directory ,You need to spend a lot of money to optimize your Directory.
Submit to paid directories and other bidding directories, promote it in forums and spend money on blog posts to create a buzz.
looks very nice. I would suggest getting active in the forums. Show potential customers what value you can offer them. Show that your directory is different. And advertise wherever you can think of. Branding and name recognition is just as important as anything else. Best of Luck! Lance
Awesome, cheers lance! So is cheaper necessarily better? I'm not a developer so i can't offer unique things like a unique deep link system etc, but i can offer fast submission times and good promotion. I guess they are the sort of things i should be going for, right?
I personally don't believe that cheaper is better, but you DO have to be able to offer something of value to charge a higher price. hmmm.... there are several blogs that you should check out for some mods and information.. 1) HERE 2) HEREhttp://blog.rakcha.com/category/phplb-mods/ 3) HERE Best of luck!
