I'm thinking of getting into CJ, and I'm curious as to how people are promoting. PPC? SEO? Review websites? etc..
Would you mind sharing your website with me? I just want to take a look, you can send it to me via PM if you don't want to post it here.
It's in my signatures. I have a technology niche blog which only converts well for softwares, web services etc.
PPC only succeeds when their extensive research done on the niche you are promoting because all is related to keyword selection - therefore keyword selection is more important in PPC and right URL masking... hope it helps...
I have a content site that gets 90% of the traffic from SEO, 5% Referral, 5% PPC. I just slip in CJ Links when I have a page that works for an advertiser. Sometimes its a product, sometimes its a service..if it fits with what I'm talking about then I run it. I join advertisers as they join CJ and I have about 120 to promote so you can almost always find something to run. Mostly Text Links - with banners really only as space fillers and visual effect. Don't do PPC unless you really...I mean really, know the customer and what the 'potential clicker' will want to experience when they visit your site. In my experience, search traffic converts so well that I only pay Google tiny amounts for clicks because I don't need to pay more for it in most cases.
PPC is bad because CJ is not real-time. I like to do large media buys. It works for the hosting niche.
It is really true when it comes to PPC marketing. CJ is not PPC game. It is definitely Clickbank who can get you instant cashflow.
What is "marketing". When you understand what it is you questions about "how to promote" are answered. Marketing is about people and behaviors not sites and links. Why people can't understand this simple principal is amazing.
You seem to be trying to build a website based on how to JUST convert sales. Really you should work on building a quality website and use affiliates / pcc / cj etc. as an asset on how to profit from your passion / quality custom quality website.
There are so many affiliate programs in there, it's all about your skills, comfort level and budget. Just because someone says that they have had luck with PPC and CJ means absolutely nothing. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth
Never used PPC with CJ because it has the potential to go belly up if you are not on your game. I have used it on review sites with a sprinkling of mostly text links here and there.
